History

Lianne was born in Los Angeles. Her mother is a famous media celebrity, her father is unknown. Lianne grew up an only child, used to loads of media attention and with a fiery love for music and adventure. This led to her dropping out of school on her fifteenth, alternately working and partying until she met Forest Wilson and Walter Lay on a night out in a LA modern rock club in Year 24. They invited her to join their band, which they’d just started. Thus the 10 dB’s were born. For a while they played only in the US in the underground scene, before setting their sights on Europe and finally becoming a world-wide succes.

Lianne came to be one of the front faces of the band. She was born for the stage, indulging in the attention, the lights, the music and the cheers of the audience. During her younger days she was also quite a groupie, fawning over many well-known performers and quite often succeeding into getting them to sleep with her.

Lianne herself is a free spirit, believing that love should be shared and spread. She’s had many lovers over the years (including her bandmates), but since Year 30 she’s been going steady with Stephen Leece who she met when she asked for an autograph. The two grew closer during Year 30 as friends, and during a few long distance calls on a world tour they fell in love. From that moment they’ve been pretty much an item, to the point where she’s adopted his three children Lauren, Joep and Luca, has borne him two daughters; June and Joy.

She loves to party, which has gotten her in trouble many times in the past. Most notable occurrences of this were a party with Stephen Leece and Vicki Lynch resulted in a pregnancy for both girls present, and during the farewell party of the 10 dB’s she nearly killed herself by drinking too much absinthe and champagne.
In Year 42 she got pregnant by accident by her other bandmate, Jean van de Pol – which resulted in heavy relationship problems with her boyfriend Stephen. The two even broke up their long-standing relationship over it, but since then they seem to be patching up things and are often spotted together again. Baby Reece is in custody of his father, Jean.

Eventually they seemed to have patched up their relationship; during the 25th anniversary party of Rebel Justice, Stephen dropped on one knee and finally popped the question. A baffled Lianne agreed, and thus they engaged. Days before the planned wedding however, they broke off their engagement, stating they did not want to break their status quo. Lianne fell pregnant with baby Senna instead, who was fathered by Stephen during the 7th Popmundo Festival. After this their relationship seemed very stable again, until the two were physically parted when Rebel Justice split up. The relationship seems to continue on a slower burner since then.

Her cheerful demeanor took a heavy blow when early Year 59 two of Liannes best friends (Precious and Isa) passed away. Her musical career with Symphony of Agony suffered badly under her depression, so she has put her musical career on hold for a while and is recuperating in the MR University, teaching and running the business. So far she seems content in laying low and has expressed no interest yet in picking up her Rainbow once more.

Musical History

The 10 dB’s started as the brainchild of highschool mates Walter Lay (drums) and Forest Wilson (vocals) in Year 24, who invited on their turn Lianne Brantley to bass with their band. Daniel Flood (violin), Laura Pelletier (keyboard & cello) and Inga Darden (electric guitar) soon followed. They were a local underground band in Los Angeles for a couple of years, until they embarked on their first world tour in Year 27. A single followed, and once they released their first album “10 dB`s… More!” in Year 30, they had their breakthrough in the Modern Rock scene. They entered the top 100 of their genre soon after.

Just before New Year’s Eve of Year 31, Isa Birnie joined the band to act as a second guitarist. Their original guitarist Inga Darden had been battling both alcohol addiction and a depression at that point, and Isa was initially hired as a backup. Soon after though the situation with Inga spiralled out of control, ending with her leaving the band and committing suicide soon after. However, with Isa in the band everyone could finally focus on the music and the party again. They participated in the Back to Basic tour and were wildly successful, competing and holding their own against established bands like Mo’s and Rebel Justice. From there on, the 10 dB’s train started rolling in earnest and they stormed the charts until they were a well-known top 10 contender in their genre. Their highest position has been #1, which they reached at the moment of their disbanding.

All things must end though. Just after New Year of Year 35 the news came that the 10 dB’s would be splitting up at the end of their latest tour to pursue new interests. They finished their tour with their heads held high, performing better than ever. After their farewell show in Brussels on Day 31 of Year 35, in which they played all of their old hits and got ridiculously drunk with their friends and fellow competitors, it turned out that they had reached the #1 position on the moment of their disbanding. The band is on record as being deliriously happy with this fact, calling it ‘poetic justice’.

Rainbows Unescapable is what happened next for Lianne. During Year 36 she was teaching at the University and bored out of her mind, so she decided to set up a silly coverband so she could at least get on stage and play again, even if it was for small, intimate audiences. The name of the band was taken after one of her most famous songs I Shit Rainbows. This band was not very successful, but it was enough for Lianne. She often invited befriended artists to share the stage with her (most notably Isa Birnie, Lya van der Meer and Clayton Hilliard) and obviously had fun, but she didn’t make a secret of the fact that once the time had come to join Rebel Justice, she was very relieved to finally go all-out again.

She joined Modern Rock mammoth Rebel Justice on the last day of Year 36, on the last show of the first Giants Tour. She was pretty nervous about joining this band, that has been dominating the Modern Rock charts since Year 18, but thankfully all went well. Audience response to her greeting the audience was beautiful, and she’s been embraced by the fans since then. She thrived in the Rebel Justice environment, writing songs and playing her heart out and having fun with her bandmembers; boyfriend and drummer Stephen Leece,  leadsinger and friend Torrie Paris (who replaced lead singer Anna Morgansson) and Modern Rock genius Jean van de Pol. During her time in Rebel Justice, the band was firmly lodged on the highest regions of the Modern Rock charts.

Their highest position has been #1 on the WIW list in Year 49, 2nd on the Big Bang event in Year 50, and they came in #16th overall in the 7th Popmundo Festival, ranking the best Modern Rock band.

On Halloween Year 51, the band announced that the rebel days were coming to an end – they would split up after their current world tour, ending with a spectacular Live Aid competition in their self-named Rebel Justice Park in Amsterdam in Year 52.

At New Year’s Eve of Year 53 Lianne joined up with well-known Modern Rock band Symphony of Agony, together with Maritza Erickson and Sara Garrido. They immediately embarked on a world tour with a groovy bass/vocalist sound that the world has never seen the likes of before. Not long after this the band reached the #1 of the WIW list in late Y53, where they resided for six days before having to make way for other bands. The band is known for their neck breaking speeded tours, often playing two shows a day. They passed the qualifiers for the Ninth Popmundo Festival by surviving a poule of death, and eventually came in #24th overall in the 9th Popmundo Festival in Sao Paulo. Late Y57 they spent another additional two days on the top of the WIW list, before dropping out again. The career soared and GOD SMACKING shows were common occurences during their breakneck speed tours, but after four intense back-to-back tours the three women were starting to show signs of wear. Maritza suffered heavy health problems and Lianne battled depression after the death of two of her most beloved friends.

In Year 59 the band decided to go on hiatus for an indetermined time, and there have been no news reports since.
